Common questions
- Do I need GST to send a party invoice?
- No. Estimate and Bill of Supply mode need no GSTIN. Tax Invoice mode does.
- What must a catering invoice include in India?
- CGST Rule 46 fields - supplier, GSTIN, invoice number, date, party details, item descriptions, tax breakup, total. All rendered automatically.
- Tax invoice vs Bill of Supply?
- Tax Invoice is for GST-registered supply of taxable goods and services. Bill of Supply is used when GST does not apply.
- Can I issue an advance receipt?
- Yes. Restaurant supply is a service, so GST is chargeable at receipt. The final invoice subtracts the advance automatically.
- Format for a bulk order invoice?
- Standard Tax Invoice with per-line quantity and unit price. Party rates are editable per line without touching your menu.
- Do I need a POS?
- No. Everything runs in the browser.
- What is a gapless serial and do I need one?
- Under GST every tax invoice needs a unique consecutive serial. Orderzy assigns it inside a transaction so nothing burns a slot on a crash.
- How do I send an invoice on WhatsApp legally?
- Through Meta Cloud API with a Meta-approved template. Orderzy handles this via the template
invoice_book_issued_v1.
